Job Description

we are seeking a dedicated and strategic Human Resource Manager to lead our HR department. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping our workplace culture, managing the full employee lifecycle, and ensuring that our HR practices align with both our business objectives and Ugandan labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent to meet organizational needs. Employee Relations: Act as a trusted bridge between management and employees by addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment. Performance Management: Implement and manage effective performance appraisal systems that drive high productivity and employee development. Policy & Compliance: Ensure full organizational compliance with the Uganda Employment Act (2006) and other relevant national labor laws. Draft, update, and enforce corporate HR policies. Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll processing, administer employee benefits, and ensure compensation structures remain competitive within the local market. Training & Development: Identify training needs across departments and coordinate relevant professional development and capacity-building programs.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of proven working experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar leadership role. Legal Knowledge: In-depth, practical understanding of Ugandan labor laws and current HR best practices. Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the company. Professional Affiliation: Active membership with the Human Resource Managers\' Association of Uganda (HRMAU) is a strong added advantage.
