Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional dining service.
Present menus, explain daily features, and answer questions regarding food and beverage items.
Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring high service standards.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns in a timely manner.
Prepare and present bills, process cash, debit, and credit card payments, and balance receipts.
Set up and maintain dining areas, including cleaning tables and replenishing supplies.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking service stations.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service.
Requirements & Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food and beverage service is preferred.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
Must be legally eligible to serve alcoholic beverages where required by provincial regulations.
