Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide friendly, professional table service.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and make food and beverage recommendations.
Advise customers on menu selections and wine pairings.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Serve food and alcoholic beverages in accordance with provincial liquor regulations.
Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints courteously.
Present bills and process payments using cash, credit, or debit.
Balance cash and maintain accurate sales records.
Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
Replenish condiments and supplies at serving stations.
Load buspans and trays.
Train and supervise servers and bussing staff as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food and beverage service.
Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages in Nova Scotia.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
