The Food Safety Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating food safety training programs to ensure employees understand and comply with food safety standards, company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role aims to promote a strong food safety culture and ensure safe food handling practices across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver food safety training programs for food handlers, supervisors, and management staff.
Conduct induction and refresher training on food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
Prepare training materials, presentations, handouts, assessments, and practical demonstrations.
Evaluate training effectiveness through tests, observations, and competency assessments.
Maintain training records and certification documentation.
Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and international standards.
Promote awareness of food safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
Assist departments in implementing food safety management systems.
Conduct workplace inspections and observations to identify training needs and compliance gaps.
Support internal and external food safety audits.
Analyze food safety incidents, audit findings, and customer complaints to identify training requirements.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions related to food safety practices.
Monitor employee compliance with food hygiene standards.
Stay updated on changes in food safety legislation and industry best practices.
Maintain training schedules, attendance records, and competency assessments.
Prepare periodic reports on training activities and effectiveness.
Ensure all food safety training records are maintained and readily available for audits.
